We're looking forward to being joined by Lynda from Parlour Design at Stitch & Craft Fest on Sunday 5th February. Lynda is well known for her weekly craft classes for children in Lurgan where she teaches all manner of quirky crafts with a vintage twist!
Lynda says 'I love weird stuff! I make various quirky craft items for weddings, homes and events and am also available to hire for Arts & Craft Workshops, Parties & Events. I work with all ages, abilities and backgrounds - from the general public to community organisations and everything else in between. I also run a weekly Kids Craft Class in Lurgan Town Hall on Saturday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 am. I see first hand the social and therapeutic benefits a creative activity within a group brings, regardless of social, economic or religious background'.
Lynda will be running various workshops throughout the day at Stitch & Craft Fest including jewellery making. We can't wait to see what else she has planned for the day!

Our resident craft workshop folks - The Craft Market (from Fivemiletown) will once again be running our fabulous drop in workshop area. Sit down at any time of the day to take part in the crafty fun, make origami paper flowers, and stock up on lovely craft supplies. They will also be providing information on how to use natural products such as nettles (for making nettle string) and using leaves, berries, flowers and plant roots to create natural dyes.
Visitors will have also have the opportunity to participate in a record breaking attempt to create the world's largest patchwork Christmas stocking in Northern Ireland. Sit down with the ladies from NI Big Sock and join in this community wide project by cutting hexagons, stitching pieces together, or cutting out the paper templates. You don't have to be able to sew to get involved so even if you don't have any skills with a needle and thread all help towards achieving this record breaking goal will be greatly appreciated!
