We're looking forward to being joined by Lynda from Parlour Design at Stitch & Craft Fest on Sunday 5th February. Lynda is well known for her weekly craft classes for children in Lurgan where she teaches all manner of quirky crafts with a vintage twist!
Lynda says 'I love weird stuff! I make various quirky craft items for weddings, homes and events and am also available to hire for Arts & Craft Workshops, Parties & Events. I work with all ages, abilities and backgrounds - from the general public to community organisations and everything else in between. I also run a weekly Kids Craft Class in Lurgan Town Hall on Saturday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 am. I see first hand the social and therapeutic benefits a creative activity within a group brings, regardless of social, economic or religious background'.
Lynda will be running various workshops throughout the day at Stitch & Craft Fest including jewellery making. We can't wait to see what else she has planned for the day!
What better way to cheer you up on a cold winter's day than ogling some pretty vintage handbags from Norma Jean Vintage!
We love this glorious sunrise view of Blackhead Lighthouse in County Antrim, captured by our friends at Tandem Photography. What a fabulous view for their first photograph of 2017 and we look forward to seeing much more from them when they appear at Stitch & Craft Fest on Sunday 5th February!
And carrying on with the sunshine theme, here are just a few more bright offerings from some of the other wonderful exhibitors who will also be taking part in our first event of 2017.
Happy New Year to all our readers and followers! We're back to sharing news on our blog now after a break over the festive season and are excited about all the fantastic events we have coming up in the first part of 2017. Kicking off the event calendar for this year is Stitch & Craft Fest which will be returning to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Shaw's Bridge, Belfast on Sunday 5th February. We will have lots of news on this over the next few weeks but for now we would just like to introduce you to a few creative folks who are either new to our fairs for 2017 or who joined us towards the end of 2016............
As the year draws to a close we would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited or taken part in our fairs in 2016, read our newsletter or blog and followed us on social media. Your support of our events is what keeps Frock Fairs going year after year and we couldn't do it without you!
It may have been a year full of the unexpected and much uncertainty for everyone, but one thing remained the same - Frock Around The Clock kept right on bringing together the best of vintage, handmade and upcycled loveliness for your enjoyment.
Many of us will be glad to see the back of 2016 and will be looking forward to starting off with a clean slate and the promise of new opportunities in 2017. You will be glad to know that we will keep right on Frocking - we already have four fabulous events lined up for the early part of the new year and will be bringing you lots of lovely news about these over the next couple of months................
But for now we would like to send you our warmest wishes of the season - May your New Year’s Eve ring with laughter and cheer, marking the start of a blessed New Year! See you in 2017! x
